Peta situs kali ini tidak sama dengan petas situs yang DI SINI atau yang INI. Peta situs / sitemap kali ini bertujuan untuk membantu mesin pencari seoerti Google, Yahoo dan Bing untuk merayapi situs supaya postingan dapat diindex.
Secara default blogger sudah memiliki peta situs bawaannya, akan tetapi peta situs bawaan/default ini hanya terbatas pada psost-post terakhir saja, sekira 26 post. Itulah sebabnya kita perlu membuat peta situs yang lengkap.
Bagaimana cara membuat peta situs / sitemap blogger dengan simple dan cepat?
Membuat peta situs / sitemap untuk blogger itu cepat dan mudah. Tinggal menambahkan atom.xml?redirect=false&startindex=1&maxresults=500 di sebelah URL blog.
Contohnya begini : http://fa-thoni.net/atom.xml?redirect=false&startindex=1&maxresults=500
Thats it, sekarang anda sudah membuat sebuah peta situs. Setelah membuat peta situs tinggal memberi tahu kepada mesin pencari bahwa anda sudah membuat peta situs. Ada dua cara untuk memberitahu mesin pencari.
1. Mengubah setting sitemap pada robots.txt
2. Submit peta situs di Google webmaster tools.
Menambahkan peta situs Blogger pada robots.txt file
Login ke dasbor blogger -> /Setelan/Setting -> Preferensi penelusuran/Search Preferences-> aktifkan robots.txt khusus kemudian tempelkan peta situs berikut:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /search
Allow: /
Sitemap: http://www.fa-thoni.net/atom.xmlredirect=false&startindex=1&maxresults=500
Catatan: Ganti yang berwana merah dengan URL situs anda.

Submit blog ke Google webmater tools
Login ke Google webmaster tools kemudian pilih blog/website anda. Pada dasbor situs, Klik Perayapan dan pilih Peta Situs. Pada bagian sebelah kanan atas klik klik TAMBAHKAN/UJI PETA SITUS. Tempelkan peta situs yang yang sudah dibuat atom.xml?redirect=false&startindex=1&maxresults=500. Terakhir klik tombol Mengirim Peta situs.
